But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:14

Jesus welcomed and enjoyed the presence of children; as His church, we seek to care for children as He did. Our hope is to engage their hearts and minds and nurture them as Jesus’ disciples, just as we are.

ST. BRENDAN’S KIDS CATECHSIM

On Sundays’ St. Brendan’s Kids are led through a meaningful worship experience of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. St. Brendan’s Catechism (instruction) is Gospel-focused, Word-centered, and Liturgical, engaging children holistically in the beautiful Gospel story.

St. Brendan’s kids is available for children aged 3 years old through 5th grade. These children begin the service with their families and the church in worship. After the Collect of the Day, children are prayed for by the congregation, and dismissed by the Priest to go to Sunday School. Once catechism concludes, children are escorted back to worship by their leaders, to celebrate communion with their families and the church.

NURSERY CARE

For our youngest, we offer Nursery Care. Parents may drop nursery aged children (0-3 years) off in the nursery up to 10 minutes prior to the service. Parents pick up nursery kids during the “passing of the Peace” to celebrate Communion with their families.

SAFE GUARDING

The safety of all children who come through our doors and participate in St. Brendan’s Kids is of utmost importance to us. For this reason, all volunteers have undergone a thorough application and screening process which includes reference and background checks, abuse awareness training, and a church membership requirement. Both our Sunday School Catechism, and Nursery, are always led by two adults each. NEW FAMILY CHECK IN

If your family is new, Check-In for St. Brendan’s Kids is available 15 minutes prior to both services at the Welcome Table. If you plan to join us and would like to fill this form out online prior to the service, you may access it below.

CREATION CAMP

One week each summer, St. Brendan’s hosts Creation Camp, a wonder-filled offering that takes place outdoors!

At Creation Camp, kids learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the wonders of His creation (meeting outside), along with our calling as His image bearers, to be joyful stewards of His Creation.
