Mission Teams
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”Acts 1:8
Across the four Gospels, and into Acts, Jesus calls His Church to bear witness to the world of His Gospel, making disciples of all nations. He also empowers the Church for such witness, by granting His Holy Spirit to His people. As the early church lived in the world as Spirit-filled witnesses, as Saint Brendan travelled to unknown isles to plant the Gospel in hearts, so we know we too are called by Christ, and sent with the Spirit, to bear Gospel witness and make disciples at home and abroad.
A key way we live on Mission together at St. Brendan’s is through our lay-led Mission Teams. These teams reflect intentionally discerned, corporate callings we sense to bear the Gospel in Word and Deed both in Bellingham, and across the world.
Wiebes’ Lebanon Mission Team
St. Brendan’s Anglican are mission partners with the Wiebes, who serve as missionaries at City Bible Church in Bierut, Lebanon - ministering the Gospel to both Christians, Muslims, Lebanese, international students, and refugees.

Birchwood Elementary Outreach
Our literal neighbors of where we worship, we seek to minister the love and encouragement of Christ for staff, students, and their families, in regular, tangible ways that meet their needs and encourage their hearts.

University Outreach Mission Team
Recognizing the great value universities and colleges have in shaping the next generation locally and internationally, and the formative time and environment students find themselves in, we seek to share the formational love and hope of the Gospel of Christ with students and faculty, and currently have an outreach to both groups at Western Washington University.
